Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's rebrand is being "rejected by the world" according to a royal expert.

After a tough 2023, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are seemingly embarking on a fresh rebrand in 2024.

Just two months into the year, the couple have attended several high-profile events and have even relaunched their Sussex.com website.

In addition to this, it was also recently announced that Meghan would be getting back into podcasting after signing a deal with Lemonada Media following the collapse of her Spotify contract last year.

Earlier this month, the former Suits actress said she was "proud" to share that she's joined Lemonada to continue her "love of podcasting", the Mirror reports.

In a statement released earlier this month, the 42-year-old said: "I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.

"Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024."

Harry and Meghan famously signed a lucrative $25m (£19m) deal with streaming platform Spotify, where the duchess hosted her Archetypes podcast which saw her chat with different celebrity pals including tennis legend Serena Williams, socialite Paris Hilton and singer Mariah Carey.

However, the 12-episode series came to an abrupt end last year when the Sussexes' were suddenly dropped by the streaming giant and were later labelled as "grifters" by a Spotify executive.

In terms of public appearances, the couple were seen in Jamaica at the Bob Marley: One Love film premiere in January.

The couple's first second public appearance came earlier this month when they jetted off from California to Canada for the Invictus Games celebrations as they marked Vancouver Whistler 2025's One Year to Go party.

The Sussexes' took part in demonstrations, stepped out on dinner dates and Prince Harry even took part in a televised interview with Good Morning America.

Following the couple's website relaunch and their various public appearances over the last few months, royal commentator Josh Rom spoke to Sky News Australia to discuss how the UK is reacting to the rebrand.

Speaking on the network, Mr Rom said: "The 'grifter' word comes to mind with this because this is them trying to keep in with this institution in some way, shape or form.

"Let's be honest, that's the only way in which they're going to retain relevancy and, you know, the only reason why people pay them any sort of attention is because of the role in which this institution provided for them."

While Mr Rom spoke on Sky News Australia, the segment was titled: "Why the World is Rejecting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's rebrand", and the programme featured multiple commentators who gave their opinion on the Sussexes' and their apparent rebrand.
