Late Queen Feared Photos with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Would Be 'Exploited'

The Duke and Duchess' Public Stunts Have Reportedly Made the Royal Family Wary. It seems the late Queen was deeply troubled by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's public antics, which allegedly cost them the trust of the royal family.

According to expert Phil Dampier, the royal household now views the couple as "not to be trusted."

The fear is that any interactions with Harry and Meghan will inevitably end up featured in their Netflix programs or other projects.

Dampier explains: "The big fear that the late Queen had and that the King now has is that when [Harry and Meghan] turn up, they do tend to turn up with a sort of Netflix film crew or a photographer in tow.

You always get the feeling that whatever happens, whatever the discussions are, that it's going to sooner or later end up on a programme or in some sort of podcast. And that's unfortunately where the trust has gone and they just don't trust [Harry]."

This lack of trust reportedly went so far that the late Queen avoided being photographed publicly with the couple or their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Dampier says the Queen was acutely aware that any such photos could be "exploited" by Harry and Meghan.

The strained relationship comes as Harry and Meghan remain focused on their lucrative Netflix deal, reportedly worth $100 million.

Since signing with the streaming giant in 2020, they have produced a controversial docuseries that featured many criticisms of the royal family.

Now, Harry is working on a documentary about polo, while Meghan is developing a lifestyle and cookery show, potentially tied to her new American Riviera Orchard brand.

It seems the royal family remains wary of their every move, fearful that private moments will be thrust into the public eye.
