Prince Harry's recent interview talking of King Charles' cancer diagnosis prompted a critic to suggest his comments are undermining the "trust" in him.

The Duke of Sussex passed comment on his father's health battle, which was confirmed by Buckingham Palace earlier this month. Now, Daniela Elser has hit out at the Prince for asking the family to come together.

Appearing on Good Morning America to speak on life in the US and his relationship with the Royal Family, Prince Harry made it clear he loves his family and that chatter between himself and his father "stays between me and him".

But Elser was less-than impressed with the comments passed by Prince Harry, and the Duke was dressed down in her recent column. Writing for news.com.au, Elser claimed: "What truly puzzles me is that Harry seems unable or unwilling to accept that every time he opens his mouth and talks about his family, even to this relatively bland, innocuous degree, it has never made an ounce of difference.

"So too that at the heart of the trans-Atlantic Windsor/Sussex stand-off is the question of trust, and him popping up on breakfast tele only undermines that."

She also claimed the Royal Family had rarely "responded positively" to the Sussex duo's interviews. Most notably was an appearance on Oprah Winfrey's show, where Meghan Markle alleged a member of the Firm had been racist towards her unborn child.
